Ive been working with children for most part of my life; that's something I love doing. I have the qualities and experience necessary to do a perfect job.

My Interests:

I have a lot of hobbies and interests. In my spare time, when I'm at home, I like reading, crosswords, listening to music, watching tv - mostly movies -, cooking, swimming... On the weekends, I like going to movies with my friends, or to some play or concert. I'm a quiet person but I'm easy to get along. I love languages, cultures, nature. I'm thirsty for knowledge, always wanting more.

Dear Family I'm Dinah, I'm 22 years and I came from a small city in Brazil called Aracaju. Here I live with my mother and my brother. As I come from a big family, I grew up with a lot of younger counsins, and we have always got along very well. I have a special relationship with my cousin Marianne, who is 8 now. When she was a newborn, my aunt used to bring her to my house, and I used to take care of her every afternoon, while her mom was at work. As she was a newborn, I didn't do anything special with her but playing some classic music for her to listen. During the first 3 months of 2004, I assisted my neighbor Silvani to take care of her sun - I was like her nanny. Her son - João - was 3 at time. We drew and printed, we played with his little dog, we swam, we watched cartoons... that's what João and I did mostly. Still in 2004, on november, I made a "trainee" at a public orphanage. I used to help a teacher with 25 children of 3 and 4 years old, and it was just in our classroom. We came there around 7AM, then we made the breakfast to the children. After the breakfast, we took then to brush their tooth - we encourage them to do that alone, I mean, they were encourage to brush their own thoth. Then we took them back to the class, teach something, like the letters, the colors of the semaphore - and teach them what they sould d asked them to paint and make some pastes in a pasteboard. On 930 they had their pastime, until 10. After the break, we bath them, and as soon as they were clean. they finished their lessons. At 11am they had lunch. From 11:30 to 1pm it was their nap time. The afternoons were more recreativies. We usually play some game in the little field, or put music songs from them to play among themselves. And at 5:30pm they came back home. It was really really tiresome. But even more rewarding. In Sep 2005 I went to France as an au pair and started to work in a family of 3 beautiful children. Their ages are 3, 8 and 10. I used to take and pick them up from school, prepare their meals, clean their rooms, and watch them til their parents come back home from work. This job lasted 10 months and the kids and I had a wonderful time together. From Agost 2006 to March 2007 I worked for another family with 2 boys in Paris. Their ages were 2 and 3. I used to be with the younger all day for 5 months, while his brother was in school. On Januray he started going to a daycare twice a week. We spend a lot of time playing in the park and when we were home we listened to music or painted. As written above, I've worked with children since I was 16, taking care of my cousins, volunteering at the chilcare, and being an au pair. I've always done my best to have a great experience and also purpose great time to my hostfamily. I always pretend to be "the older sister" to the kids and I always was a nice friend to the parents.
