The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I love to learn new languages, and experience new cultures. That is the main basis of why I have looked into becoming an Au Pair, but as any future or current Au Pair, I think it is imperative to have a passion for Children. I really love kids, and spend countless time with my cousins who are 3, 5,6 in age. They love spending time with me, and I love spending time with them.

My Interests:

So I assume you would like to get to know who I am, and what I am interested in. I am 24 years old, from northern Ontario a province in Canada. The past 4.5 years I have been living in southern Sweden, in a city called Lund, about 30 minutes from the Danish border, near the capital of Denmark Copenhagen. My family is that of a very multicultural background. My father is a Greek native who has been living in Canada for 35 years or more. My mother is a German native living in Canada for 40 years. So both Greek and German are languages I am familiar with, more so the German than the Greek, but still quite nice. As a Canadian, both English and French are mandatory languages, but English is my mother tongue. Swedish is now my most secondary language, and one that I am most interested in. But for some reason I have always had a soft spot for Italian, and in fact, I have just begun to do a course in Italian for beginners. I am very active, and love sports. I go to the gym on a regular basis, but also play football, and ice hockey. I can easily catch up to your kids if they are also active! : In terms of education, I am currently in my final year of my bachelors studies here in Sweden. Fourth out of Four years, in Political Science at Lund University. I have plans to continue my studies to the Masters Level, but I feel I need to do something else that I am passionate about. I love to learn new languages, and experience new cultures. That is the main basis of why I have looked into becoming an Au Pair, but as any future or current Au Pair, I think it is imperative to have a passion for Children. I really love kids, and spend countless time with my cousins who are 3, 5,6 in age. They love spending time with me, and I love spending time with them. Although I do not have experience as an Au Pair, I do have experience with Children in the workplace. Some years ago I worked for the YMCA and ran an after-school program in Canada for 3 hours everyday, once the kids finished school. We played games, sport, crafts, music, homework, and just had fun. I did that job for approximately 8 months the entire school year. I absolutely loved it. It was exhausting at times, but completely rewarding as you create a wonderful friendship and bond with all the kids. In terms of my skills credentials, by June 6th I will have graduated my bachelors studies at Lund University, with Political Science. I am a fully licensed Lifeguard credited in Canada, which means I also have fully credited CPR and First Aid credentials. I also have my drivers License credited in Canada for approximately 5-6 years now.
