All along, I have insisted on taking more time to look around the world when I am young, so that I can make the future more clearly the way to go. My name is Li Sha, I am from Qingdao, Shandong Province. Qingdao is a beautiful coastal city, there are friends around the world come to Qingdao for traveling, working or living. Qingdao, the city’s internationalization gave me the global mind, from I was very young, I had a dream that one day I could go to Europe to study, to experience the European countries’ historic humanities and social culture. The opportunity had finally come, after my graduating from university. In 2007, I chose to study in Antwerp, Belgium. That period of time in Belgium was a really nice experience in my life. I still clearly remember the strange and exciting feeling at the beginning when I came to Belgium. Everything was new. During more than 2 years, I completed my studies and worked at a local company for some time. I met a lot of classmates and friends from Belgian and other European countries. From different races, different cultures, we met in this beautiful harbor city of Antwerp, which was a fate, so that we cherished it very much. After I left Belgium, I applied program from the Singapore government and came to Singapore to work. Singapore is a very beautiful and very modern international country, it is a Southeast Asian country, completely different from European culture. Singapore government encourages talents around the world come here to work. At the end of the work in Singapore, I learned the au pair project and was attracted to this project. I hope go to my dreaming North European countries to do au pair when I am still young. The North European countries are very attractive to me. I would like to have some life experience in the North European countries, to understand local people's lifestyle, children's thinking, as well as their mode of education. In Antwerp, I met three girls and a boy from a surrounding town of Antwerp. We met each other on the bridge at the harbour of Antwerp. We chat alot, they told me they were studying in different grades, what programs they were studying, their interests. They asked me if I like Belgium, whether I have a boyfriend. They even said they would like to introduce a boyfriend to me. We had a really nice time. We took pictures together, I gave them my phone number when we said goodbye to each other. Them called me and wished me a happy holiday after that time. Which made me pleasant and surprised was that one evening about a year later, I received their call, also the four of them, they followed their parents to have dinner in a restaurant just on the bridge where we met last time. They asked if I would like to come out to see them. I was willing and very happy. Then, a year later we met in the old place. We took pictures again. That day was the little boy's birthday, I gave him a little cartoon fish as a birthday gift. He was very happy and showed it to his parents. That time we left to each other, we keep in touch until now. I like pets, I had a puppy at home when I was young, called Dolly. In my opinion, the dog is a animal with rich spirit, it is a friend of man. From them, I can see the loyalty and duty. They will not hurt and will never betray their master. I took it as my good friend, as a member of the family. Once I got a very serious fever, lying in bed, I could not go to school, Mom and Dad went to work, I was very depressing. At this time, I suddenly felt something rub my hand. It is Dolly! It is using its paw stroke my hand. I opened my eyes, saw its eyes full of care, which were so pure, like an innocent child, I felt so warm in my heart. Dolly companied me throughout my childhood time, left me a really good memory. Until now, when I see a dog in the community or the park, I still think of my dear Dolly. May he all is well in another world. I choose the North European countries to do the au pair program, in the hope of successfully matched to a suitable family. I believe it is a fate to both of us.
