The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I’m a very enthusiastic, loving and caring young woman of 22 years old. I love children and the English language which I speak quite fluently now, and I’ll be attending Sheffield Hallam University in year 2008/2009 to finish my law degree (LLB). I’m therefore looking for a lovely family in Sheffield or nearby Sheffield with whom to stay as an au pair during my stay in England. I’ve already had a great experience as an au pair 2 years ago in Bristol and I have also worked as a counsellor in a summer camp in the USA for 3 months.

My Interests:

I am a very easy going, enthusiastic and independent person who is looking for a British family who will really regard me as an extension of the family. As said above, my English is already very good, so I’m not looking to be an au pair just to improve it (though it always needs improvement of course, you’ll be more than welcome to correct it!), but really because I love children and want to share a family life while staying in England for my studies. I’ve had a lot of experiences with children (summer camp, au pair, baby sitting), and you’ll find me very trustworthy and thoughtful. I have a passion for travels. I’ve spent a year in Australia as an exchange student when I was 16, worked in a summer camp in the USA and I’ve travelled a lot on my own in Asia, so no need to say I’m resourceful and sociable! I’ve obtained an English study degree at la Sorbonne in France, and I’ve also started a double law degree (in French and English) last year. So I have already spent a year in Sheffield when I’ve started my LLB in 2006/2007. I’m currently studying my second year of law in Paris and I’ll be back in Sheffield in September/October 2007 to finish my LLB. As an au pair, I'm very happy to join in the housework and of course look after your children. And I'll be extremely happy to cook for the family too! I'm a vegetarian but all my former families have loved my vegetarian meals. But there is of course no problem to make fish, sausages, steack and so on for the children! Because I'll be studying during the year, I'd like to have an internet access in the house, preferably a personnal access (I'm bringing my laptop along with me!). As said before, I need a family in or close to Sheffield because i'll go to uni during the week. I'd like to work between 15 to 25 hours maximum a week. I'm very flexible, so I can work at week-ends, early morings or late at night depending on your timetable and your preferences. Well, and one more thing: I'm allergic to cats!
