The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

Next year I’ll finish school and then I’ll be qualified to attend university but before I’ll do that I want to get another experience. So I decided to go to the USA as an Au Pair, because I love children and I want to get to know another way of life and be a part of a family who wants the same.

My Interests:

My name is Janine and I am 19 years old. I live in Pirmasens a little town in Southwestern Germany. I live together with my best friend Anna in a flat above my parents. I have no siblings, I think that is very sad because I think life in a big family is great. In my spare time I like to make music. I play the clarinet and the english flute and the guitar (not so good, but I practice nearly every day) and I also sing in a choir. The rest of my spare time I use to work with kids in a church group. This group is after music my favorite spare time activity. Of couse I have some other hobbies yet: I love to read interesting books and to write and get letters. I like to meet friends or go swimming. I love to go to cinema or theater and I already was in many musicals for example "Cats" , "Phantom of the opera" ans "42nd Street".

Family Letter:

Dear family! I decided to be an Au Pair in USA because I love workling with children. I love babysitting and there are many families I go to at the moment. I care for children in the age of 0-14 years and we do many things together. For example I prepared lunch and dinner for some kids and we played a lot of games. Many of them I get to bed. I also help with homework or to practice their instruments. Since 4 years I work with children in a church group. There we meet every Friday for 2 hours and have a lot of fun together. To learn more about childcare I visited several courses. There we lerad a lot abaut first aid, childcare, games to play with kids, etc. I hope this letter helped to give a first impression of who I am and if you are interested in getting to know more about me I would be happy to hear from you and answer any questions you might have to find out whether I might be the right Au Pair for your family.
