The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I would like to study foreign languages at University and working as an au-pair for a couple of months will help me improve my English.Besides, living in another country, on another continent, will 'open' my vision of the world and my mind in general. I will get to know another culture completely different from mine, live in a city that is unknown to me. I hope this way I will get to be an independant person and will be able to grow up in the right way.

My Interests:

I am a 19 year old girl and I live in Italy.I was actually born in Romania, but my parents and I moved to Venice when I was just a little girl, so I could say that I am more Italian than Romanian(I actually speak perfect Italian but unfortunately am starting to forget my native language so I read a lot of books to maintain it as it is now..). I am a responsible girl, funny and out-going. I'm not afraid of leaving my family and friends for a year, as I generally make friends quite fast and integrate into new sceneries in no time. I like reading, swimming, going to the cinema,playing tennis, going out with my friends, playing with our dog, and I Iaugh a lot.I am determined and ambitious, I hope to cover an important role one day and be a successful woman. I would like to work for important organizations like the Red Cross or Unicef and help the children in need. I would also like to volunteer for a couple of months and help the people who need to reconstruct their lives. I like travelling a lot, going to new places and seeing new things. I am a 'nomad' spirit, in search of freedom.I hate feeling bored, that's why I always try to be occupied.

Family Letter:

Dear family,I should finish school within 6 months(I have my final exams at June so I'm not able to come to your country earlier, please do not contact me if you need me before August as it's impossible for me to come) and I would like to start working as an au-pair after I graduate. I've been taking in consideration this alternative since I was 17 and I stick to this idea, as it will surely be a very useful experience for my future. I have a 10 year old sister and we live with our parents. We have a sweet and playful dog, and we live in a big apartment close to Venice.My sister and I get along very well as I've practically raised her ever since she was a baby. We like to watch cartoons together , eating pop-corn and laughing.
