The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I would like to be an au pair mainly because I like looking after children and I think I am good at it. It is very important to me to improve my language skills. Moreover I think it is the best way to know the other culture and meet new people who can bring something new into my life. I would also love to have an opportunity to share my Polish culture with you. That is why I want to become a part of your family. To be a member of your family means for me to be the best nanny and true friend for your children and share a part of responsibilites and duties at home. My Interests:

What am I like? My main feature of character is optimism and I always try to incorporate it to my life. I am always full of energy and new ideas. I am creative, talkative, funny and sometimes a bit crazy especially when I am playing with the children (I am even able to turn into a wild animal if they want me to :-) I am honest, patient, mature and responsible. I think I am the person you can depend on. I absolutely adore all animals especially dogs and parrots. As I mentioned I have 2 dogs (Puszek- he is small and fluffy; Elza- she is very very big) and a parrot (a tiny one who can not talk but is very friendly and likes flying around the house). I love taking care of them. I like sport especially swimming, cycling, running, playing volleyball and table tennis. My hobby is also cooking and baking (but I am still not as good in it as my mum is). I am interested in psychology. In the evenings I usually read books, listen to music, watch TV or play chess with my dad. I often play with my sister and I really enjoy it. I also have many friends and I spend a lot of time with them. My great passion is travelling. I have been to many west-european countries including England, Ireland and Spain. I really enjoy looking after children. In Poland I usually look after small children from 5months to 4years (usually my little cousins and my neighbour’s children) and of course I have been taking care of my little sister since she was born. I also have been an au pair in Ireland where I looked after 3 lovely children (girl 9, girl 8, boy 4) for over 2 months (Summer 2005) and in England/Spain ( Summer 2006)-3 months in total looking after 7yo girl and 9yo boy (I have got references from both host families). It really improved my English but it is still not fluent.

My name is Marzena and I am 20 years old. I am a psychology student. I live in a small village in the south east part of Poland. I have a wonderful family (there are 4 of us in my family+ 2 dogs and a parrot :-). My mum (Barbara, 42) is a teacher (she teaches 5 and 6- year old children in the local primary school) and my dad (Tadeusz, 42) is a mason and runs his own small business here in the village. I have a younger sister (Paulina) who is 8 years old. She is a really amazing child. I would like to spend the holidays looking after children in some special family somewhere in Spain, Ireland or United Kingdom.
