The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I have always wanted to spend a "gap year" abroud to gain some experience before going to university, but I'm not the type to laze around a whole year, since I always need a task. Family is really important for me, so thought that if I spend a year away from my family, it should be with another family. Another reason for my wish to work as an au pair is that I love languages. I've been learning french in school and really want to improve. I'd also like to improve my English skills and I've always wanted to study Spanish or Portugese, so if I could use or improve any of these language, that would be awsome. Moreover, I've been a part of this youth movement since I'm six and it created such a feeling of belonging for me. It was so great for me as a shy girl to have contact to responsable teenagers, whom I could take as my role models. When I became 16, I started to work as some kind of counseller and although it's really much work, belonging to these childrens' lives gives me a great feeling. I hope that working as an au pair will do the same.

My Interests:

My name is Jana Rosenfeld, I'm 18 years old and I'm from Vienna, Austria. I've been living here all my life together with my parents and my 21-year-old brother Aron, who is currently travelling trough India. I'm a very good student, responsable, enthusiastic, hard-working, but at the same time fun-loving. I intend to study communication and management at university. I'm very sociable, have a lot of friends and I do a lot of free-time activities. First of all, I'm a member of a fitness center and I love to do all kinds of ball sports and to dance. Moreover, I have a lot of experience with children, since I'm working voluntarily in a socialist youth movement as a group leader of a group of 12-14-year-olds for whom I together with other teenagers prepare all sorts of activities, games as well as educational stuff.
