The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

In the summer of 2006 I traveled to Europe and spent two and a half months visiting seven countries. I fell in love with the people and the way of life and promised myself that someday I would go back and live there for a time. My dream is to experience a different culture overseas, broadening my worldview. I fully realize that the best time to pursue this dream is while I am still young. However, even for the sake of travel, I cannot imagine a time in my life without everyday contact with children. This is why I seek to be an au pair: it is the perfect blend of two of my passions--travel and young people.

My Interests:

I am an active person: I enjoy working out at the gym, running outdoors, writing poetry or short stories, playing the piano, singing, listening to music, attending a variety of art events, and reading. I am hard-working with a strong sense of morality and I value good character. I wish for a place to live where I can become a part of the family and, at the same time, retain my own identity and independence.

Hello! I am looking for a warm and friendly family who is willing to allow me to take part in their lives and share the privelage of providing their children with the tools they need for success--in character, in academics, and in personal abilities and confidence. Currently I am a finishing a bachelor in Music Education at Houghton College in New York state, USA. It is my personal belief as an educator that all children should be provided with the most positive, enriching, and inspiring environment possible and it is my desire to help achieve this goal. Upon graduation in May, 2008 I will have received provisional certification to teach K-12 music. Because of my education I have experience working with exceptional children--autistic, mentally handicapped, ADHD, EDD, ODD, etc.--and am prepared to offer your children private piano and/or voice lessons. I also have enough experience with all instrument families--wind, strings, percussion, and brass--to assist your children with any lessons they may be taking. My English is excellent and I will be able to provide your children with any English tutoring support needed. I have past experience working with children both as a nanny and as a volunteer at a non-profit children's program at a religious institution. Children are my passion and it is my hope to receive the opportunity to invest my talents and abilities in your child or children.
