The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I love being with kids...laughing with them, learning with them, and watching them grow. Also...the UK has always interested me, and I would love to experience more of its diversity and cultures. There's nothing more beautiful than a child's pure happiness, and watching them grow into a person you can be so proud of...knowing that one day they will be an amazing adult...adding their bit of spice to the world. The thought of being part of a family life on the other side of the world is one that makes me smile just thinking about it!

My Interests:

I'm a 19 year old Aussie girl...love to laugh...being around people...and traveling. I'm very responsible, and am currently working for a year as an Administration Officer in a Rural Arts organisation. I have an amazing family and brilliant friends...I'm very lucky with the people surrounding me. I think it's a person's upbringing who make them who they are, and every child deserves a wonderful childhood full of love. During 2006 I was on exchange in France, and finished off my last year of College by correspondance from Australia; proving I'm a determined and independant person. I babysit twice a week, and have been with one family for five years. I love spending time with kids, laughing and joking...both sitters and kids can learn so much :) I have my first aid certificate. Music is one of my passions, and something I believe links people together throughout the world. I also really enjoy photography. I'm very passionate about human rights, and believe that if we all work together we can make a huge difference in this world. Working towards equality is what I plan on doing for the rest of my life. And one more very important thing....I LOVE Harry Potter!

Family Letter:

Hello possible family! My name's Jess Jacobson, I'm 19, and am from Tasmanian in Australia. I love traveling and being with people...so I think the au pair program for me is perfect! I have spent a year on exchange in France, and love different cultures, languages, and this has lead me to do a lot of humanitarian work. My exchange also taught me to adapt to three different families throughout the year, showing me different ways of living, religions and values. I am more than happy to help with house work, and I value family life very much. I'm an optomistic, mature, kind, fair and responsible person, and love to have fun. I'm more than happy to help out with house-hold chores. I have my full license, and am an extremely responsible driver. I really hope you consider me as an aupair. I promise to always be honest, open and resonsible. I realise I will be looking after your children, your heart, and this is not something I have taken on lightly. The wellbeing of those around me comes before anything else, and I will adapt to your family life, keeping in mind my own morals and values. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks, Jess :)
