My Interests:

About me: I am 24 years old and I live in Delmenhorst ( a town close to Bremen in north Germany ) and I´m looking for a host family in (or near by) London, because I want to learn good English, work with children, see different cultures and having a nice time with a friendly family,and enjoy bigcitylife. How you see, my English is not so good (not yet) but I will try to tell you a little about me. I´m born in Germany but my parents are from Greece , so that I can speak Greek very well. Once a week I am teaching Greek to a small group of housewifes. Twice a week I am working in an youthclub, where we care for children (in the age of 7-18) after school. We help the children with their homework, offer them creative workshops or just play with them. The biggest part of the kids are about 7 - 12 years old and often the children live in poor families where they got contact with violence and crime. 80% of our children come every day to do their homework, eat lunch and stay with us till we close at 8 pm. One time a week I cook with the children and I have already done a lot of creative things with the children like painting, spraying graffiti,… For almost a year I worked there fulltime every day and since august twice a week. I like the work a lot, children are so lovely and they give so much to me. In my freetime I like to meet friends, listen to music, go to cinema, concerts, cook for my family or/and friends, paint/draw, reading a good book and comix,basketball, swimming, … I live with my very lovely Family in a house, they are: My mom(working in an factory), my brother( he is almost 19 and working for an IT-company) and my stepfather( chefcook in a hospital). Our parents are divorced since 15 years but our father and me and my brother meet each other once a week. Next summer I will go back to school for 1 year and then to university. I want to study psychology/sozialpädagogig. The work in the youthclub is like prepareing for college. I am non-smoker and I don´t drink alcohol, I have a drivinglicence and a lot of practise driving a car and scooter. I am honest, have a sunny personality, open minded, natural, nice, and I really love children. Also I have completet the technical High school for nutrition and housekeeping and a High school for economics. I have a lot of practise with children in the age of 7-16 but I am sure I could handle a little child/baby also. I could start end of November and stay with you till middle of July 08.
