The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I have already worked as an au-pair and found it to be an excellent opportunity to learn about a new culture and to share your won culture with a new family. I love working with children and want to take some time off between university and finding a graduate job.

My Interests:

My interests include travelling, learning languages, swimming, reading, arranging parties and dinner parties, socialising with my friends, shopping etc.

Hey! My name is Sarah and Im a 22 year old classics student with experience of being an au-pair for the summer. I looked after two lovely Swiss children - a 4 year old boy and a girl aged nearly two. My role as an au-pair in Switzerland was to get the children dressed and up, make breakfast and then entertain them with activites in the morning - colouring, homework, arts and crafts, walks, go the playground, swimming then make lunch, clean up lunch, organise some more activities in the afternoon and then when the mum came home, I was officially off but it was nice to help her prepare and clear dinner or to go with her for walks with the children. I also often took them into the nearest city on the tram to museums and park or feeding ducks. At the weekends I was often invited on trips around Geneva area, which was very nice. I loved it so much Im looking to do it all over again. I love younger children and making arts and crafts with them, going out for the day and so Im looking for a happy, friendly family who want a big sister for their children. I really want to go to India as my current flatmate is Indian and I love the culture so much. If I were to get the opportunity I would really like to study a Hindi course. I would also like to be in a Hindu family so that I can expereince the different religious festivals such as Diwali and Nivathri, but none of this is necessary. I think it would also be nice for me to share some of my British culture too. When Im not studying hard at university, I also work in a Greek villa holidays company. I work in customer services but also edit the content of the website and do general office work. Its been a great experience. I'll be finished at university in june/july time and Im flexible about when to start working. My hobbies include shopping, socialising with my friends, getting dressed up and going out with them, dining out, cooking and eating in, travelling (Ive recently been living on the island of Corfu in Greece, and I studied in Paris France for a year as well as working at Dinseyland Paris and have also travelled a lot with my parents), I love learning new languages and I live the sunshine.
