Dear Family, My name is Birgit and I was born in Düsseldorf, Germany on August 8, 1963. My mother was a housewife and my father was an officer for the city of Duesseldorf. They're both dead. My parents have four children: me, the youngest child in the family, my sister Ursula is 54 years old, my brother Peter is 52 years old and my brother Dieter is 50 years old. I think I had a great childhood and one of the most important things for me working with children is that I haven’t forgotten how I felt like when I was a child. My home town was quite big, but the area was once very quiet. In my hometown, there are many children in the area. Even in my earliest childhood I was good with children around and have baby-sitting by my pocket money. It has always been my fun for children. Today I live in a big city, but in a rural environment. In my childhood, I dreamed of it in the United States to travel and to work there. In my primary school, I visited the high school and made my degree there. First, I have my apprenticeship as a hairdresser. This profession but gave me no pleasure. So I started an apprenticeship as pool supervisor started and successfully completed. I worked 15 years in this profession. Later other priorities happened. My brother got married early. Now he has two sons and two girls. My older nephew, Alexander, was born when I was 14. As soon as I took him in my arms I realized: the biggest happiness in the world are children. From there was clear to me I wanted in any case their own children. And I wanted many children. I, too, married very early and got 4 children. I terminated my employment contract and was only for my children. I hadn’t made a mistake in choosing my mission and upbringing of children was that very thing I’d like to engage in. I like to give my knowledge to children, to teach them to make difference between good and bad, not only to teach them new things but also to bring up a child as a person. Despite my own children, I have very many children for many people care. It was never a job, but a task.I love them very much and I am not shy in expressing my love to them. I enjoy and appreciate every moment of my life, I am an optimist, I like being outdoors, walking and riding. At home I also can’t sit without doing somethin. In my spare time, I do many things. I am very happy to hear music. I hear it is not easy ... I feel it. I read, go to walk, ride a bike, and to write in my book, go to the cinema and passionately like to ride. Currently I am working as a real estate agent and I am very good, but it iust not my determination. My determination is to work with children. I give them affection, love and appreciation. I teach them things that they do not learn at school. I have no one thousand references to the long-term child care, but I can assure you that I'm kind of " Mary Poppins ".
