Being a nanny is an ideal job for me.I love to help around the house. I love kids. I enjoy the stability of a good working relationship with the family I work for. I think that kids sometimes teach the adults, just like the adults teach the kids. Challenges will occur, but, in my experience it’s been very positive. You will see that I’m very energetic and love to connect with children. I'm not the type to sit back and just watch. I'm very caring. If they are sad they should feel very able to talk with me. I am a laid back kind of person, and I would like to work for a laid back family.I don't lose my temper easily. I am straight forward and honest. I believe that kids should be given structure, but with wide boundaries and lots of positive reinforcement. I appreciate a family who knows exactly what they want and need, and are comfortable communicating that to me. If you make your expectations clear, it makes it easier for me to make you happy and for all of us to be comfortable. If you want me to do the breakfast dishes before I drive the kids to school instead of after, please let me know. And understand when I run out of time - I will do my very best. It's also good for the parents to agree on what their expectations are. I like consistency as much as your kids do. I am not another parent, I am an aide. Concerning my strong stance for family values and my belief about the strong influence that a au pair (or any person for that matter) has on a child, I know that it must be very difficult and scary for a family to find the perfect fit. I, myself, am quite excited about finding an active family who will allow me to play a beneficial part in the growing of his/her/their important child's/children’s life! I have many childcare experiences ('93-'99 Babysitter '02-'07 live-in Nanny), and loved every single one of them!
