Hi, my name is Charlie, I’m aged 19 and I live in the Great Barr area of Birmingham. I am looking for a nanny job over the summer holidays and am currently in my second year at university studying a BA Honours in Teaching, specifically Primary school. This course runs in line with the school holidays, meaning I am available during these periods. In addition to these periods I am free from the middle of June to the middle of September, which could be used to get to know your children. I have been working with children since I was 16 as I went to college to study a Diploma in childcare and education awarding me a level 3 in childcare. This course involved working with children aged from 0-8 years in schools, nurseries and baby units. Here I also qualified in first aid and food hygiene. I have also had much more experience outside of college. During the whole summer of 2005, I was a nanny for a lovely family in Rugby. I was responsible for 2 young children 9 months and 2 years. This involved having sole responsibility for both children, doing some daily chores and planning interesting and fun activities for us all to do. During the summer of 2006 I worked in a day nursery in all rooms, looking after children aged from 6 months to 11 years. During the summer of 2007, I was a temporary nanny for 2 weeks as their nanny was on holiday which involved caring for a 14 month old child. I have also done the odd job at the NEC in their crèche and the odd nursery job. I am CRB cleared a non smoker and have my own car and have held a full licence for nearly 2 years. I can provide your child/ children with a safe, happy, stimulating environment and I am a bubbly, caring, trustworthy, punctual, happy young adult.
