The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:
|
I would like to work as an au pair, at first, because I love to spend time with children, and because I´m interested in learning the language. I think that the best way to do it, is interacting with the people who lives in that country, in a daily way, and in a total immersion in their culture, to learn their behaviours, and their language in a deep way.
I want to have an exchange of experiencies and cultures with a family, where I can help, feel safe, work, have my own money, and interact with everybody, as another member. I wish we could make a friendship, and know other people.
And because I had got very succesfull experiencies caring my brother since I was very young and caring or teaching my friend´s children. And I enjoy doing it!! I think it would be a perfect job for me!

My Interests:
|
I´m an argentinian girl liveng in germany!
I am a calm person, respectful, and sometimes I don´t talk much. I am, and like to be independent. Sometimes individualistic.
I enjoy to take long walks, riding a bike, or driving a car along roads or paths, travelling and knowing different places, but I enjoy it more if I do it with company.
I like playing with children, and with animals. Those moments make me feel happy.
I like reading, and listening music, but I can´t do both at the same time.
My favourite hobbie is to take photographs. I like making photographs of nature, animals my pets were victims, landscapes, the architectural view of buildings, people, and objects inclusive. I´ve never studied photography yet, but I will some day.

Family Letter:
|
Hello, dear Family!!.
Before you start reading my letter I want to apologize for my bad english.
My name is Mariana Carbó Mahlmann. I´m 23 years old.
Let me mention I´m a german citizen, and I have got my german passport.
So my first worry of having all my papers and documents in order is cleared, which enables me to work without any problem.
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in July 1984, where I lived until february 2008, when I moved to Spain and got my spanish residence.
I really like this country, but I want to know other cultures, countries, and languages.
Unfortunately, I don´t speak German although my mother and grandparents do. I just speak Spanish and English.
I want to learn the language of my roots, German, and more English and that is one of the reasons why I´ve decided to work as an Au Pair.
Now, I´ll tell you something about me, and my life:
As I said, I grew up in Buenos Aires, with my sister 2 years younger than me and my brother 8 years younger than me, and there I lived until I came to Spain.
I finished my school and after that I always tried to take classes of different things some PC knowledge, english, because I put great value in knowledge. I love to learn new things, and also reading. That keeps my brain trained ! -
My parents get divorced when I was 9 years old, so I started to take care of my little brother since I was 13 years old and he was 4 My mother of course had to work, and at that time we considered I had enough age to do it without the nanny we used to have when we were younger.
My daily responsabilities always were: Take my brother to the Kindergarden or to school, go to my school, supervise his homeworks and help him, make breakfast and lunch, some house cleaning, laundry, go to the supermarket, take care of my brother, and to do the basic household that every home needs.
I consider that I´m prepared to take care of kids, and help in the house, because it´s just what I did while I was a teenager. And when I got 18 years old, I finished school, started to work and rented an apartment to live by my own. That was a great experience for me, to be independent and wholly responsible of everything. Many times I made the baby-sitting for my friend´s children some of my friends are older than me, just because I like to do it, and I have the necessary experience, too.
I had cats and dogs in my childhood, and now I´ve left my cat with my mother in Argentina. So I had a lot of pets and they do not bother me. I like animals very much, and as far as I know, they like me too…
I chose the Au Pair work, because I expect to know people, to make great experiences and, why not? Friends.
I want to know a different culture, in a daily way, and learn about you, not only “how to speak correctly” a different language.
I wish to join a family, to help complying with my job, to share time, experiences, and exchange knowledges.
If you agree with my purposes, and expect the same things for you and specially, for your children, please consider hiring me for this job.
With my best regards, I hope to know you soon.
Mariana.
