The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I love children, meeting new people, learning about new cultures, learning new languages and traveling. What better way to spend the summer than by being an Au-Pair and making an influence in other people's lives?

My Interests:

Family Letter:

Hi potential family! I have lots of experience with Children, but I'm a first time Au-Pair. I will add more to this site in the future, but here are some of my strong points: Speak fluent German, Spanish and English, and basic French. I am studying to be a future teacher in English and History at the University of South Carolina and work part time as a program coordinator for a Non-profit Organization. Two years ago, I spent one year working with a Family Center in Berlin organizing English Clubs, camps, and many other things specifically for children and families in East Germany. I'm also a part-time teacher at my church to children ages 4-7 for 7 years, and a youth group leader of ages 13-23 one year. So I'm used to all ages, learning new things, creating activities, and meeting new people. Before this, I worked two years with an outdoors adventure camp in the Mountains in North Carolina with ages 8-14, which was a great experience. So I love the outdoors! I also worked two and a half years in a Nursery in an Athletic Club with ages below 16, and enjoyed it immensely. I play the violin, guitar, and sing in a band at my school and church. And I would love to share these gifts with your children. I love turning every day things into creative and wonderful experiences. I also believe that as a teacher, one has to be the head learner. I take all opportunities as teaching opportunities, and making things as fun as possible. I don't mind if you're family is of a different religion, but I do expect to have one day off of the week for my going to church. If you can help me with my travel expenses, I wouldn't mind receiving less pay. I would love to help out with the daily upkeep of the house, but I'm mostly there to take care of your kids, not the house. My available dates are still unsure, but I'm waiting on the right family to make my summer plans concrete. So I'm pretty flexible right now.
