The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I am interested in becoming an Aupair because I believe that it is the perfect balance between looking after, and interacting with children which I love, as well as traveling which is truly one of my greatest passions. Due to my past traveling experience not only internationally but on outward bound trips, I have become very adaptable and I feel that I can become comfortable in any culture or unfamiliar circumstances. I also am very interested in becoming an au pair, because I am very interested in looking after children for a longer period of time. I have had a lot of experience caring for children, and have even spent a week as a live in nanny for two children, while their parents were away. However, I believe that caring for a child for an extended period of time would be an amazing experience. It would be a chance to get to know your child and of course have a lot of fun!

My Interests:

I look towards the future with great excitement and anticipation. In the fall I plan to go to university at either Queens or McGill, both which I have received acceptances to their International Development Programs. After becoming incredibly involved in the volunteer programs at my school I have developed a love for philantropic work. After completing my undergraduate degree at university I plan to take a year off and travel. I am very interested in going to Africa. I was a member of Free the Children volunteer group based on the concept of children helping children for 2 years and this sparked a passion in me, not only to travel, but to make a difference. In addition, after being a delegate in the SOMA Southern Ontario Mock UN Assembly conference 2008 I have developed a dream to have an influence in the United Nation in the future. This idealistic approach to making a difference is not all about who I am. I have also a great interest in music, after playing violin for the past 7 years. I really enjoy the outdoors and have been on many outward bound trips such as sea kayaking in BC, rock climbing in northern ontario and many cannooing trips. I am very adventurous yet cautious person and I love new expiriences. I look forward to speaking with you in the future!
