I live with my mother, our relationship is very caring, open and honest. We have a lot of complicity daily. We’re always with our relatives. My father is an exemplo of determination and he’s very intelligent, even he does not live with us our relationship is very pleasant. My Dear Host Family. My name is Jéssica Zuzi, I’m 26 years old and I’m single. I live in Limeira, interior of São Paulo state. I have a degree in advertising, I also made a course about cinema. I always liked to study English and I started to study it when I was 11 years old, nowadays I work as a seller assistant but I want to be an au pair so I can develop my future plans. I live with my mother, I don’t have any brothers, I grew up with a lot of cousins around me, we’re very close. My relationship with my entire family is very pleasant, we like to stay close. My relatives are always with us and they support my decision to become an au pair. My mother works in a school, she’s been always there for me on my education, and also she cares about me to be a good mother and wife in the future, without letting my career. My father is very present in my life, even He does not live with us he always help me on my decisions, He’s a math teacher, he’s very serious but very loving. I have a cat, his name is Fernando and I had a dog but she died, her name was Renata, I really love pets. I started to work with kids when I was 17 years old, I took care of a boy and he was 3 months. I stayed with him all day until I had to go to College at night. After this I started to take care of a child who had special needs, so I had to make her food and give it to her on the right time, I had to give her a bath, we had a playtime and some duties at the house, I also had to took her to physiotherapy and swimming classes. From Monday to Friday I work in a company then during the weekend I work with Ribeiro’s Family in their farm, I started to work with them when Natalia was born, they already had a boy named Gregory. Natália is very smart but sometimes she can be a little stubborn, but she is always surprising me, everything is a big party for her, she’s always very happy. The family has a new child now, Laura, she’s only 2 months. I also help them in the house, like cleaning and helping to organize it. It’s a hard work but I feel very satisfied because I love them so much. I want to become an au pair because I love to take care of children and for me this is very important. When I get back I want to do a post graduate related to child care, pedagogy. I’m sure this experience abroad will help me grow as a professional, as a woman and the most important as a person. I’ll be very happy when I get all my duties done with love and when I look back to this experience I’ll be always proud about what I did.
