The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I would love to work as an Au Pair for many reasons firstly I love children. I believe it would be an amaizing oppurtunity to see the world. But more I think the most rewarding thing in the world is to see and help in the day to day lives of young children. I believe this could be the most interesting and rewarding expirience in my life.

My Interests:

I would consider myself to be an out-going and bubbly person. Although I am fun loving and layed back I know when things need to be taken seriously. This I believe is one of my best assets. My interests and hobbies include: reading, traveling, cooking, being around all different kinds of people, I enjoy being with my family and friends and enjoy a challenge. Most people would consider me to be very out-going and bubbly. Although I am very out-going I know when to be serious and firm. I am always up for a challenge and never up.

Dear family, My name is Kristen Jeannette Ellison I was born on October 8th, 1989. I am 18 years of age. I am a Canadian Citizen and grew up in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. My family consists of my mom Debbie she’s amazing she is a stay at home mom. My dad Richard works for CN Rail as a Locomotive Engineer. My little sister Candace who is 15 years old, a freshman in high school and my cat Lady. As I said I grew in Cobourg, which is a small town in Central Ontario. Its population is approximately 18,000 people. It is a robust town on the shores of Lake Ontario. Although I grew up in a small town, I enjoy being in a city. Cities offer so many opportunities to learn and grow. I love being in cities because they are so cultural, there are endless opportunities to learn and meet new people. They also offer the opportunity to see and experience new things out of your comfort zone. As for schooling, I went to a catholic elementary school as well as a catholic high school. In high school I found that I thrived I became passionate for politics, law and peace studies. After graduating from high school with high honours, and awards for non-violence and multiculturalism I decided to go to the University of Waterloo in Waterloo Ontario, Canada. Currently I have finished my first year of University. I have decided to take a year off because I am unsure of whether or not UW is the school for me. Although I plan to take a year off I plan to return and finish my undergraduate degree, and hope to go to Law School. In regards to Child Care experience I have some. When I was in elementary school I used to spend my lunch hours helping out in the Kindergarten room. I helped supervise the children while they ate their lunch, helped them open packaging, and took them to the bathroom. After their lunch hour, I would play with them or read to them. I also used to take care of my sister when my parents used to be at work. I would cook simple meals, ensure her homework was done and put her to bed. When I was in grade 12, I took on a babysitting job taking care of a three year old and four month old. From this experience I learned a lot including: how to take care of a baby, how to change diapers, make formula, give a baby a bath, change a babies clothing, and soothe a colic-y baby. I also learned how to take care of rambunctious little boy. Although I do not have many years experience I feel that I would still be an asset to your family because: I am excited, a quick and eager learner, I love children and am a hard-worker.
