The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I would like to work as an Au Pair because I enjoy working with children and I enjoy traveling. So when I discovered this job opportuntiy I thought it would be perfect for me.

Hello my name is Caitlin caitlinbalan@.com. I am 25 years old, non smoker from Waterdown Ontario Canada. I am very interested in working as an Au Pair in Milan Italy. I have spent the last 1 1/2 years working with a wonderful little girl and her mother Emily, who works as a Physiotherapist Assitant at St.Joseph's hospital. I was responsible for helping her daughter to get up and ready for school preparing her lunch and seeing her to the school bus. In the afternoons, when she finished school, I would prepare an after school snack and help her with whatever home work she had if the weather permitted we would go to a nearby park and play. In addition to this I would babysit 1 or 2 nights a week as well as helping out with light cleaning and cooking when needed. This was a wonderful experience for me, being able to not only look after a child but also to become her friend and to watch her develop into the individual that she is. The reason why I want to work in Milan is because I took a 10 day vacation in Italy with a friend this past March, while Emily and her daughter were on March break. I visited Florence, Venice, and Milan. I fell in love with Italy, such a beautiful country and culture. Milan was my favorite city because of the interesting mix of fashion and history which makes it a unique and interesting city. I think that working as an Au Pair for 6-12 months in Italy would be perfect for me because it would allow me to experience more of the Italian culture as well as working in a job that I know I enjoy very much. I have a basic knowledge of the Italian language, but I have been trying to improve through studying at home with self teaching books.
