The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I have been babysitting and looking after children since I was 10 years old. I love kids and plan to make working with children my career, either as a Nanny, Daycare worker, Teacher, or Children's Author. I have been a nanny befor for a short time,and absolutly loved it. I want find a great family to work with them and their kids.

My Interests:

I am twenty years old, and love children and animals. I love reading, dancing, art, and music. I am very creative, fun, and outgoing, and enjoy spending time with people. I had five spine surgeries a few years ago, due to severe scoliosis curvature of the spine and still have resulting nerve pain from the condition. Because of this I am unable to lift more than 20 Lbs which makes me unable to work with small children that need a lot of picking up. I am on pain medication and am very responsible regarding my medication, and it has no effect on my abilities to care for children. I love to get outdoors and explore, as well as bike, go for walks, and go to museums and art galleries. I have written a few children's books, and I used to write a children's newspaper for the kids in my neighborhood when I was younger. I danced for many years until I had surgery, and was in drama all throughout highschool.

Dear Family, I am a very experienced and responsible nanny looking for a summer position, or longer. I can offer your children a wonderful time this summer and keep them entertained and stimulated. I have many years experience caring for children of varying ages. I have issues with my back and I am not able to lift heavy things and therefore am looking for a position with older children only. Who wants the kids to watch TV all summer? Not me! The types of activities I would do with your children include: Arts & Crafts - for varying ages and abilities, painting, gluing, cutting, collages. Outdoor Active Play - ball sports, bike riding, swimming, tag and other group games. Educational Outings - day trips to parks, museums Rom, Science Centre, Zoo, cultural events. Imaginative Play - dramatics, dance my specialty, story telling. Reading and School prep - dependent on childs' needs and abilities My experience and abilities warrant a minimum of $300 per week. I have excellent references that I can provide once we are in contact. Please note I also have CPR training, can swim well, but will not be driving. I am responsible, creative and caring. I am fun but still firm on issues like manners and household rules. It is very important to have excellent communication with parents. I prefer to give daily updates and be open with all areas regarding the children. I am not looking for a position that requires heavy household cleaning but am more than happy to maintain the childrens belongings. Please also note that I am vegetarian but I am able to prepare healthy meals for your children.
