The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

Interacting with kids has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It all started with the simple task of keeping an eye on my younger brother whenever we got home from school. I am interested in being an au pair because kids are fun and I enjoy spending time with them and watching them laugh at every little thing. Their minds are so innocent and fresh, and to be able to have the opportunity to be someone they can look up to and have as a friend, is exciting to me. It's such a privilege to have an influence on the minds of our future generation. Also, the opportunity to get out of this state or country, and just experience a change in scenery or culture is something I would be more than excited and willing to do. I am also interested in getting to possibly learn a new language.

My Interests:

My name is Courtney. I am soon-to-be 20, and am currently living in Amish Country, Pennsylvania. I am a Christian. I do not drink or smoke, and have never done nor am I interested in doing drugs. I am american and I only speak English. However, I am open to learning new languages. In a few months, I will receive my associates degree in Bible. I have taken part in taking care of children for the past 5 years. I have been a 2&3 yr. old teacher, a helper at a summer sports camp in montreal, a kids club helper in Japan for two weeks, an occasional babysitter to friends and family, and currently I am a nanny to a family with four kids. They are ages 5, 7, 9 and 10..and I absolutely love them. I love photography, and being able to capture a moment in a picture. Attempting to draw, paint and any other art that allows me to be creative is a fun way for me to spend my time. Other interests I have are traveling, discovering new music, and hanging out with friends, Getting to experience new cultures and get to know new people is something I thrive on.

It is an unpredictable job that is not void of it's challenges but I love it, and I have so much fun. I cook for them, do their laundry, help them with their chores, make sure their rooms are always clean, help with petcare, and help them with their homework. It is really a good time.
