The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I would like to be a nanny/aupair because, now that I have had my first experience, I have learned so much about what to look for, how to match myself up with the right family, and I have so much more confidence that I can have another really great and hopefully even better experience. Also, my love in life is working with children, teaching them, learning from them, and playing and having fun with them and that is what this is all about.

My name is Katie, I am a 21 year old female looking to join a loving family. I am very experienced with both children and cleaning. I am currently living in Freiburg Germany as an au pair for a family of four children. There are two sets of twins that I care for ages 4 and 6. I am an english speaking Canadian, who just completed a basic German language course here in Germany. My interests are friends, family, children, snowboarding, travelling, teaching, the outdoors, camping,hiking, walking and much more. My experiences are listed below.

Dear Family, I have my Early Childhood Education Diploma. I have one year of supply work experience with toddlers, pre schoolers and school agers. Also, I have a bit less than a year of full time Toddler room teacher experience. I have provided childcare for different families for about 9 years of my life. I am experienced with positive guidance techniques using positive ways to redirect children to make better choices. I love to be with children, I enjoy teaching them new things and watching them grow. I have also participated in several school aged volunteer programs such as a Pen Pal program promoting literacy skills and a Computers for Literacy Program helping families who have children with learning challenges one night a week. During my high school years and during my first year of college I did about 5 years of housekeeping work at a large resort, so I have an eye for quality and I am very time efficient as well. Also, after this year I will have a year of Aupair experience and most likely have some knowledge of the German language. I know I would make a great asset to any family.
