The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I have been taking care of my brothers and sisters since they were 5 and 2 respectively, and i wasn't very much older than them, 9. Now they are all grown up and i would love to be an older sister and caretaker to another little girl or boy. I have also been very active in caring for neighborhood kids. I understand the importance of a great childhood with a caring and loving mentor is in any kids life, and that would be my number one driving force in offering the best care and love for your child. I want to travel and live with a family in that country so that my experience there will be greater enhanced by seeing how the citizens of that country I love children and there is not a more beautiful way to see a new country than with the help and friendship of a welcoming family.

My Interests:

I love learning new languages and always open to new experiences. I love to cook and bake and try out new recipes. I like to keep in shape by playing pick up soccer games with my siblings, hiking, or going to the gym. I love to read and currently I'm reading madame bovary, which i love so far. I love planning birthday parties and play dates. I don't mind light housework at all, it's a sort of stress reliever for me. I'm very talkative and social, probably because im a gemini, i dont know. I play the violin, and i listen to a lot of music on my spare time. I have recently attempted to try my hand at botany. I love the discovery channel, the history channel, and national geographic, and ofcourse i watch my fair share of nonsense television. I love animals and wouldn't mind getting to know yours and helping out with taking care of them. oh and i love to shop.

Family Letter:

My whole life has been about new experiences in different places. I was born in south africa and lived there until I moved to the states at about the age of 11. Since then I've relocated 2 more times, with each experience being more rewarding than the last. As much as i will strive to be a part of your family, i will give you the necessary privacy you need. Before my little sister was born my family had a nanny and I have very few fond memories of her. So believe me when i say i know how important this job is to a family and especially to the happiness of a child. Anyway, I hope you see me as the perfect fit for your family. In school my favorite subjects were mainly in the history and social sciences department, however, i excelled in all my classes. I was on the deans list in college, which is like the honor roll for those of you that aren't familiar with the term. My mother works long hours and is only home long enough to sleep, so I'm responsible for the cooking, cleaning, taking the kids to and from school if they miss the school bus, driving them to extracurricular activities, doing the grocery shopping, and doing any other general household errands.
