The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I would love to work as an Au Pair within the UK to gain experience and a feel for the country. My hope is to move to England permanently upon completion of my studies, or when I acquire a suitable position or career, hence I would like to experience life in the country firsthand. I also love children, and lately have felt a desire to have some of my own, so would appreciate knowing what it's like to look after young children for longer periods of time rather than simply entertain them for a few hours. Having studied at universities for the past five years, continually jumping from course to course, I'd appreciate the chance to stop, explore, work and find my feet and career based direction in life. Having enjoyed working with children, I believe such a position will be a welcomed break and a worthwhile and fulfilling experience.

I suppose I can be the typical Libra girl a natural daydreamer, storyteller, diplomat and philosopher. I tend to get mushy at chick flicks too, and can be incredibly indecisive, so incorporate both the negative and positive aspects of the star sign. I'm a red headed 21 year old originally from the Czech Republic hence I do not require a VISA and have dual citizenship who has spent much of her life in sunny Queensland, Australia. I'm a vegetarian who loves to cook and experiment, have never smoked and have no intention of trying it, and do not drink anything tasting even vaguely of alcohol. I'm very interested in natural health and medicine, love herbal remedies, and prefer to utilise these preventive tactics over the more commonly employed treatments emphasised by modern biomedicine. Therefore, I'm keenly interested in health and well being of the mind, body and spirit. I've spent the last five years studying at various universities. After one year of a generic Arts degree, I spent 3 years studying for a Bachelor of Psychological Science, before changing courses opting for a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy. Although I have yet to finish a degree, my intention is to simply take a break to find what it is I want to do with my life, and consider resuming and completing studies after a year or two. Whilst studying, I worked various babysitting jobs, was the primary entertainer in a travelling children's marionette theatre, and then had my own party business specialising in children's entertainment. I also have retail experience, and have done some counselling work via reading the Tarot cards during festivals and weekends. I'm sociable, love to talk, have been described as being friendly and bubbly, and I genuinely enjoy being with young children. To date, they are the only ones who still enjoy games of hide and seek and are content to blow and chase bubbles in the park, so what's not to love? I also adore animals, and have a couple of feline babies who will remain with my housemate in Australia, a few fish and we'll soon be getting a dog. I was also an avid horse rider so have some experience in working with large animals, and animals in general. Ideally, I'd love to find an au pair family with a companion animal to pat and love. Being from the Czech Republic, I'm competent in the Czech language, and am also comfortable with conversational french as I participated in a French Immersion program during my high school years. This basically consisted of being taught various subjects French, Mathematics, History, Geography and Science in the French language. Unfortunately, having not used it for almost half a decade, I am beginning to forget the language however am confident that I shall pick it up relatively quickly should I require it. Although I do not have a driver's license, and personally prefer not to drive, I am happy to learn and go for one if my au pair host family requires it. I am also spiritual, however am not religious, so wish to ensure that this will not be an issue. I am open minded when it comes to faith, love theological debates and do not preach or aim to convert anyone, however appreciate the same respect to be shown to me. I am a Pagan, and during my time working with you, I will appreciate being able to engage in certain games and activities with the children during particular seasonal holidays mostly the solstices and equinoxes and to enjoy holiday dinners with either friends, or preferably, my au pair family.
