The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

Probably you have already noticed that I would like to stay abroad only three month or less. Of course I am aware of the comprehensible critical attitude regarding such a short period of time. However, while coming to a new country to work is exciting, one of the most rewarding things about choosing to become an au pair is being able to make a difference in a child's life. Because an au pair is there for a child in their home as a part of the family, she is able to form a unique bond with the children and truly make a difference in their life – negligible, how long she is actually staying. Hence I believe becoming an au pair can be a truly amazing experience: One in which long lasting connections are made with the host family, as well as new friends met while living abroad.

My Interests:

I am in my final year at school studying for my A-levels in Physics, Biology and Policy/Economy. I would like to spend the time before the beginning of university appropriately, since I hope to study human biology and psychology in October 2009. At the moment I am still living with my beloved family in northern Germany I have got two little brothers aged fife and fourteen. Nevertheless I am already experienced in living abroad and adapting myself to a new situation, due to the fact that I have spent the last year in Costa Rica with a host family. My interests are multifarious and contain more facets than my obvious fascination for nature and sciences. I like being outdoor particularly going for a ride with my two ponies Finja and Winnie, swimming in a lake during the summer or going on an excursion with a bicycle and my friends. Furthermore I read with pleasure: Self-evidently I have read Harry Potter and Inkheart, however, I occupy myself with more complex texts. Therefore I participate in a club of literature in my school. I love the theatre, some operas and musicals or summed up the culture in general. Being creative is one of my characteristic attributes. I enjoy playing with words and portraying something. Thus I am member of a consortium, which concentrates on communication design photography, design and production of corporate marketing materials, visual identities, web sites, and other print and electronic media. Besides I visit a painting course and I attended classes in playing the keyboard and the flute. In addition I have gotten involved with voluntary work organising free time programmes for children and giving private lessons in Spanish, English and Mathematics.

En ce moment, je vis en Allemagne avec ma famille j'ai deux petits frères. Ma famille et mes amis sont très importants pour moi. Mes intérêts sont variés. Par exemple, je lis avec plaisir. Naturellement, j'ai lu Harry Potter mais j'aime aussi m'occuper de textes compliqués. Pour cette raison, je participe dans un club de littérature de mon école. J'aime le théâtre, les opéras, les comédies musicales ou tout à fait la culture en général. En plus, j'aime apprendre à préparer de nouveaux plats à manger - il me plaît particulièrement de faire des gâteaux avec des amis - et je passe beaucoup de temps dans la nature. C'est pourquoi je voudrais étudier la biologie plus tard. En outre, j'aime m'occuper de façon créative. Je dessine et j'écris des histoires. Depuis quelques années, je joue du piano et de la flûte à bec. Je passe beaucoup de temps avec mes deux chevaux Finja et Winnie. En outre, je travaille avec des jeunes. Je voudrais passer judicieusement le temps entre mon baccalauréat et le début des cours à l'université. En octobre, j'espère étudier la biologie. Il y a probablement des possibilités différentes mais un séjour en France me plairait particulièrement bien et serait certainement très utile pour mon avenir. Comme j'ai seulement appris le français à l'école pour deux ans, ma connaissance de la langue n'est pas très avancée. Je crois pourtant qu' apprendre une langue va vite si on vit dans le pays où elle est parlée. J'ai déjà passé une année chez une famille au Costa Rica et j'y suis allée à l'école. Avant mon arrivée, je ne savais pas parler l'espagnol du tout mais après quelque temps, j'ai déjà pu communiquer avec tous les autres et j'ai appris rapidement à me débrouiller. Pour cette raison, j'espère que je pourra améliorer mon francais aussi effectivement. Je suis sûre que pendant un séjour en France, je gagnerais un aperçu précis d'une culture intéressante et que je pourrais faire la connaissance de gens aimables. *** Seguramente ustedes ya han visto que estoy buscando una familia solamente para tres meses o menos. Desgraciadamente sé que la mayoria aqui busca una chica au-pair, que puede vivir con su familia durante una época más larga. Estoy capaz de entender la razón de este punto de vista, sin embargo creo que menos tiempo puede enriquecer nuestra vida asimismo. Me gustaría conocer una cultura forastera bien, en realidad la cultura española para mi no está tan desusada y especialmente el sentido de llegar a ser parte de algunas relaciones sociales – como por ejemplo una familia. Por el momento estoy refelexionando cual dirección mi vida podría tener después de mi bachillerato. Una posibilidad sería estudiar la biología y tal vez la lengua española en una universidad. Quiero utilizar los meses antes del inicio de las clases para extender mi horizonte. El programa de estar una chica au-pair me gusta principalmente, porque ya puedo comunicar en español y entonces hay una posibilidad ilimitada de hacer muchas experiencias interesantes para mi mismo y su familia. El año pasado he vivido en Costa Rica con una familia tica y también visité el colegio allí. Desde entonces ya no estoy solamente alemana, sino una persona abierta y interesada. Estó dar por resultado muchos intereses variados. Como un se puedo imaginar me gusta la naturaleza. Tengo dos caballos con cuales monto en el campo. Fuera de eso paso mucho tiempo con dibujar y leer. La formación intelectual tiene mucha importancia para mi. Por eso me ocupo con la musica toco el piano y la flauta, el teatro y las artes en general. Por esa razón me gustaría conocer una familia, que no solamente busca una chica para trabajar en su casa, sino una que me da la posibilidad de participar en su vida verdaderamente. Sin embargo sé que significa estar una chica au-pair y entonces voy a solicitar satisfacer sus previsiones en la medida de lo posible.
