The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I have lived most of my life in a small town with only a few close friends to guide me through my childhood and teen years. Living at home with my mom, in a small sheltered environment, has given me the inspiration to leap out and to seek all the possibilities that are open to me. I am 18 years old now, but I don't feel a day over 16, and I don't look it either. None the less, I often receive compliments about my maturity and how articulate I am. I have no disillusions about how hard the world can be, I sincerely have just never experienced much of them. During my time as an Au pair, I hope to be going to a university, and during most of my time studying, I want to keep being an Au pair. And then afterwards? I will take with me all the love and wonders I have lived and move on to another incredible part of my truly fulfilling life.

My Interests:

I am a loving and caring individual who has incredible fun with children. I'm very innovative and responsible and I love to play outdoors. I've played outdoors all during my childhood, so I understand and enjoy the benefits and fun opportunities that going outside can bring. I dislike TV, and wouldn't ever sit you children in front of one for more than a couple hours. I know how to prepare lunch and breakfast and I like to cook them healthy foods. I enjoy being active with the children, running, skipping, playing tag, bouncing, tumbling, soccer, basketball, baseball and other fun games. Also, am an avid reader, and would thoroughly enjoy spending some time reading to the kids and also, helping them with their homework is something I do enjoy. It gives me the chance to help them with their future and I like to give them hints and tips and watch them as they come up with the right answer.

Family Letter:

I don't mind doing any sort of chore around the house, and would actually parer to have something to spend time on while the kids are busy, or taking a nap, or at school. Although I do drive, I know that most European countries have manual cars. I have had some experience driving them, but since I spend most of my time in an automatic, I would need some teaching were I to drive stick. I am not a strict person, but I don't let kids walk all over me either. If something had to get done, it would need to happen before we went out to play at the park or go bike riding. We wouldn't leave a room messy when done playing in it and all dishes must be moved from the table after a meal. There is never the possibility of being out past dark and I would try not to bring the children home in an unhappy mood. I feel that my role would be of a big sister, and hope that they would feel the same.
