The Reasons I Want To Be An Au Pair:

I would love to be an au pair for a few reasons. The most important being that I absolutely love being around children and enjoy working with them. I plan on going to school to become a kindergarten teacher. I love travelling and seeing new places. I recently travelled to the UK and loved everything about it! I would love to spend a few months living there surrounded by the culture. I love meeting new people and making new friends. My Interests:

My name is Shelby and I am 18 years old. I am a highschool graduate and have been a cashier at a local sportstore for the past 2 years. I have a lot of experience when it comes to being around children. I have recently completed a 5 month co-op placement in a kindergarten classroom. I worked a lot with the children through helping with school work and educational activities. I used to look after 2 young girls 5 days a week before and after school for 2 years aswell. I was an active member of Girl Guides of Canada and volunteered as a helper. I also have a lot of experience with working with children through Sunday School and babysitting for a few families. I have 3 nephews 10, 7, and 3 who I spend a lot of time with and watch on my own. I am a very friendly people person. I am able to start up a conversation with someone I barely know and feel comfortable. I am very approachable and easy to get along with. I enjoy many things like music, playing instruments, dancing, crafts, reading, and the outdoors. I feel I could be a great aupair for the right family.
