What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

The most important thing is, that you like to work with children so that you and our children become good friends. It would be great if you have experiences with babies, because our son will be 4 month old, when you start. Only secondary is the household, but it would be nice, if you help us with the housework ironing, cleaning... We want our children grow up bilingual, so it would be great, if you talk french or english with them. Jan and I, we talk german with you, so that you can improve your german and of course you can visit german language classes. We made good experiences with an au pair from Switzerland in 2007 and also with our au pair Sophie, who stays with us for 6 month now, but leaves us unfortunately in summer for studying.

Family Description:

We are a nice little german family and live in Switzerland in a lovely small village Küsnacht very close to Zürich directly at the lake Zurich. From our home here in Küsnacht it is just a 5 minutes walk to the lake and you can go to Zürich-City by tram in 12 minutes. This region is great for many activities in leisure time - hiking, moutainbiking, schwimming in the lake, skiing... On the weekends we often stay in our holiday-flat in crans-montana in wallis french part of Switzerland for hiking and skiing. Of course you could join us , if you want. My husband Jan 44 years old works for a bank in Zürich and I Stefanie, 36 y. am a dentist. I have a parttime job in a dental praxis for 2 days a week. Our daughter Eva Maria 3,5 years old is a cheerful little girl, who loves pets, books, singing and playing outside. She visits a kindergarden three days the week . Our son will be born this summer in june. We speak german, english my husband fluently, he lived in New York for 4 years and a little french.
