What We Expect From Our Au Pair:
|
The most important thing we expect is reliability, humor and a good heart. You will take care of little Cajus in the morning and help a bit with the twins. There is a maid, so you do not have to clean the house or have to sweep floors. In a nutshell: You are supposed to support us in our everyday family life simple meals, washing. Weekends are free.
It would be great if you teach the kids your language as we are happy to teach you the German language and culture. Predominantly, we would like to get to know you and be a part of our little clan!
It would be great when you can stay from mid-July 2009 to mid-June 2010 or longer.
We hope for someone who is positive and enjoys seeing children prosper. We believe it’s important for the kids and us to get to know another culture and language in our own home. That’s why we are not just looking for a “babysitter” but someone we can learn from your favourite food, your language, what you do differently or similarly at home, etc… .You can count on us: There won’t be any exploitation and we will keep strictly to the international au pair standards.
If this is in line with your expectations, we are looking forward to getting to know you!

Family Description:
|
Hi!! It's us: Cajus, our youngest son, is our sunshine. He hardly ever cries, can easily be calmed down and smiles most of the time. Hopefully, he will be the apple in your eye, 'cause he is the one you are supposed to take care of.
Our twin sons, Esra and Elias, attend school and are already very independent. Like their parents in former days, they just started being scouts.
Wolfgang is a geologist and Daniela is a teacher. If you are interested in these jobs we may offer you some days of workexperience.
We like travelling, skiing, meeting friends, music alternative, rock. It would be a pleasure for us to take you around Germany or visit the Netherlands, which we like much.
We encourage reading to our children and don’t watch much TV.
There are two detached big condos in our house. Daniela’s parents live in the other one. They are easygoing and are used to exchange students from abroad. Both grandparents work and are not in throughout the week, but love to babysit at weekends. Wolfgang’s parents also live nearby and take care of the kids whenever their help is needed. So, we are quite comfortable with our grandparents, which means not too much babysitting for you.
You will have a big private room with a TV, CD player, coffeemaker, wireless lan and a bathroom.
Our house with a garden is in a good neighbourhood. Much nature is all around. Many people like jogging, walking, rollerskating or cycling here. The bus stop is a one minute walk. A ride downtown takes 20 minutes.
If you are a musician, there’s a piano, a guitar, keyboard or trumpet. If you like sports, tennis is nearby, jogging is excellent and you can cycle to the indoor pool.

Au Pair Letter:
|
We are the Hoffmanns, Cajus 6 m, Esra and Elias both 7, Wolfgang 39 and Daniela 34, living in the city of Osnabrueck which is conviniently situated for trips to Hamburg, Bremen, the coast, Amsterdam or Cologne. Being not too big and not too small, the city is just right for a foreigner, since it is easy to find one’s way and there is a lot to see. Our university has students from around the world, so the city offers much for a young person. There are some really good clubs!
