What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We are looking for an au pair to assist Benedicte caring for the children in rush hours and open the children to the English language and other cultures. As a consequence, we would like her to come from an English speaking country or to be able to speak good English. Speaking a few words of French at the beginning would be graet to communicate with Bénédicte. You will learn French quickly since Bénédicte only speak this language. She would be asked to do only light houseworks. It will be 6 hours max a week and all around the children e.g. tidy and clean their rooms and iron their clothes. We are waiting for somebody who wants to feel part of a natural, dynamic and positive family.

Family Description:

We are a young and dynamic family. Parents are both 28 years old. We have four children, 2 boys: 6 and 5 years old and 2 girls: 3 and 1 years old, and Benedicte is 3 months pregnant. We stay in the centre of a small village but touristic and fairely active with a lot of activities and well connected to bigger towns: Perigueux-20min with shops and schools and Bordeaux-1h, in a pretty and sunny region of France in a big cottage with a wonderful garden. Benedicte is at home and take care of the children. She is very active, kind and friendly. Rudy is a senior police officer, fluent in English then any misunderstandings would then be solved smoothly, and has an experience in going to foreign families. We are roman catholic and go to church. We are open to an au pair who has another religion. The education we give to our children is based on family values, basic rules of social life, good manners and is definitely turned towards physical development,open-mindness and social relations. Bénédicte plays the piano, we have got a nice one at home. If you are a musician, you are more than welcome with your instrument. Rudy is a former rugby player but now found a new exciting hobby: children. We are very family orientated. We do like spending time outside, playing and working in the garden, walking and cycling and also talk with the children and read stories.

If you want to be an au pair and just take a few hours of French lessons OR to be a real student and be registered in a university in France Then you can find here a warm and welcoming family that can help you to live a life-time experience and improve your language skills in a chearful and safe environment. Since Benedicte is at home, we are fairly flexible and we can discuss any arrangement. Moreover, Bénédicte does not speak English, so you will learn French fairly quickly. Do not be afraid of the number of children, you will never be alone with them all but will only assist Benedicte to deal with them mostly after school. You will work 30 hours a week mostly with the children between bath and bed time and have all your weekends free. We are generally seen as a joyful and attaching family with who people feel like friends very quickly. Your room will be in the house, it is currently the guest bedroom.
