What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

You should speak always in English with Ramón and Martina. The aim is that they hear as much English as possible. This is why we want an au pair for: to practice the language, and so that our sons understand it as if it was their mother tongue. We need an open-minded person who likes playing with young children very much, because this is going to be the biggest part of your job. They have to see you like a good friend. You’ll have to take care of them, specially when we are working, let's have to go out... In summer we go to Santander, to the beach since we have an apartment there and then your help will be essential. So, we need a very responsible person who gets involved in our everyday life and to whom we can absolutely rely on.You should dedicate 6 daily hours to the family. Therefore, you would have the rest of the day free. Of course, you can stay with us all day if you feel like doing so. We have a person who does the housework for what your help in the house will not be hard in the kitchen while preparing lunch, laying the table, loading/unloading the dishwasher, hanging the clothes, putting things in order, watering the plants... and these kind of light tasks that have to be done in any house. You'll never be asked to clean the bathroom, or to clean the floors or windows, for example. Things you can do with the children, especially with the young one are: going for small walks, playing in the garden, going to the park, going to the swimming pool, to the beach in Santander,riding the bicycle, reading books, watching TV... everything done in in an enthusiastic way. It’s a good opportunity for you if you like having fun playing with children If you go to English classes, for example, we can try to adapt the schedules
