What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

I am looking for an au pair who likes to be outside, likes to play games and sports with the kids and who likes to laugh and have fun. Both our girls love to swim and in the summer we hope that they will spend lots of time at the lake. My oldest daughter also loves to do arts and crafts so I hope for our au pair to also be creative. We will also need help with keeping the house tidy.

Family Description:

We are a Canadian / German family of 4. My husband Manfred is from Germany and immigrated to Canada in 2000. I am Canadian and unfortunately do not speak any German. We have two girls. Chloe is 6 and Anna is 2. They speak only English but they understand bother English and German. We live in a beautiful log home close to the ocean. We spend a lot of time playing out of doors. In the summer months we try to go camping as much as possible. There is a beautiful lake nearby for swimming and lots of parks around as well. In 2006 when Anna was born we had a German au pair come live with us for 6 months and help take care of the girls and our house. She was wonderful and we all enjoyed the experience very much. She returned to Germany in Oct 2006 and I then decided to stay home full time with the children so we have not had the need for an au pair since then. I am now going back to work and that is why we are looking once again.
