What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We are looking for someone to fit nicely into our family, help get the children ready sometimes in the morning, take them to school,pick them up and take care of them feed them, play games, read stories etc until myself and my husband get home from work.We wouldnt ask that you do any more housework than clearing up from that particular day, and the only washing and ironing would be to help out with the childrens getting school uniform ready etc.I am NOT looking for a housekeeper!! I would rather you spent time playing with the children than doing house work :- I can guarentee every weekend off,yours to do with as you please, and because of my husbands job there will be many weeks when you will get extra days or half days in addition.On top of that between myself and my husband we get apprx 8 weeks a holiday a year all of which you could also take off to do what ever you wanted although we would only pay for the recomended 1 week every 6 months.. .. so many weeks your hours would be a lot less than the 25 hours.. however , in return, what we would ask is that when it is time for the school holidays, that you can look after the children through out the day. You will be expected to fund your own education if you come from a country that doesnt fit the criteria over in England for free English lessons and we will help you find a placment at college our current au pair had to wait a little while to get in but there was still plenty of time for her to attend and complete the course

Family Description:

Ok, firstly there is me, Mum im Klare and i work in social housing with people who are mentally ill, my husband works in the public sector. We have two little boys who are just that...boys! so they make noise, make mess, argue lol but they are very lovely too... but if you are looking for a quiet house and family then dont come to us - The boys dont sit for hours watching TV , they like to be doing stuff, anything from drawing and painting to cooking. All in all we are a really regular family, we live in a normal house, go to work, come home and try and relax.At the weekends its either catching up on housework or ding something as a family. MY husband and I do smoke but never infront of or near the children and we expect the ame from anyone else. Our current au pair has been with us for nearly 2 years and is about to get married to a collegue of mine so we need a replacement. Its been a great experience for all of us for 2 years and I know that who ever comes to us next, it will be the same :- We would prefer someone who can at least do basic cooking and be able to at least hold a basic conversation in English. We currently live on the outskirts of a village in Lincolnshire,it takes 10 mins to walk to the vilage.The nearest town is about 15 mins on the bus or in a car.There is a regular bus service monday to sat. We are hoping to move back to the city in the next year so you could experience city,town and village life in England.
