What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

The most important thing is to take care of our little ones, containing their daily care, play with them, feed them and have fun! We would like you to talk English with them, so no Dutch is required! Luckily most Dutch people speak/understand English anyway... We would really like you to be a family member, you are part of ours! And you are welcome to enjoy your own life here. Make new friends and enjoy yourself. You will have your own room with TV, and bathroom. And you can use a laptop with wireless internet connection. It would be nice if you could also do some housework, like vacuuming. We would love you to be flexible in working hours, since they are quite irregular, but everything is negotiable.

Family Description:

We have a family of four: Father Bas '74 who has his own internet design company, working a lot and late hours, Mother Kristel '73 working as a midwife irregular hours. Son Trym aug '06 sweet, easy and a little naughty sometimes. He loves to be outside or play with cars. And last but not least: Daughter Tilde feb '08 a lovely and adorable little baby. Besides that: two cats, Siep and Henk who love to be outside, catching mice and in the evenings being lazy in someone's lap.

It would be lovely to have you as part of our family. We hope that here you will get an experience of a lifetime, spending time in the Netherlands. We live just outside of a city called Breda, next to a little forest. We have a car or a bike you can use to go see friends and to see the Netherlands. We are a young busy family, we like to meet with family and friends and before we had kids we were very active: camping, and outdoor sports of all kinds. Since we have children, now a little less active. We like to enjoy each other in the little time we spend together.
