What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We just need childcare for our boy when our shifts at work clash. The shifts will be varied and different on a daily basis. It could include some weekends and nights. Some weeks we will need you a few days in a row all day, then you would possibly not be needed for several days after that. Previous aupairs have enjoyed the amount of free time and the varied nature of the shifts. Sometimes you may just be needed for a couple of hours while our shifts cross over. Depending on the time of day working, duites may include getting son out of bed, breakfast, washing, taking to/from nursery school full time as from September, other meals for him, entertaining, taking to park etc, being their overnight etc. We do not expect a cleaner/housekeeper, just make sure our boy is safe and happy when we can`t be there!

Family Description:

We have one boy who is 5 in September when he will start school full time. He is very happy and energetic and has an excellent imagination. He loves to play and is very loving to his aupairs. We both work as paramedics, hence the shifts. We are very busy. Sometimes due to the nature of our job, we can be later home than planned. Sometimes, we may have a short notice change in shift. We have a semi detached house in a lovely town called Thatcham. Nothing fancy. Just an ordinary little house. We are not a rich family with a huge house, gardens, fancy cars, fancy holidays etc. Just an ordinary hard working family who need help with the little one when we can`t be there. We are very laid back. We do not take advantage of our aupairs in any way. We appreciate them and respect their choices and decisions. On the rare occasions we have time off together, we like to visit family in the North of England and in Scotland. Otherwise, days out if we can get a chance.

Hello there, We are looking for a trustworthy girl who is willing to be flexible with her hours. Experience is much preferred and we would like a good level of spoken English as a minimum. There are English classes available in the nearby town of Newbury, but we would be unable to pay for them for you.
