What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Family living in Dublin, IRELAND seeks an aupair to help care for their three children aged 5 years, 2 years and 8 months old. Mother is a Customer Service Manager and father is working in Civil Service. The family lives in a semi detached 4 bedroom house with garden within walking distance to all transport and shopping facilities. Cleaner is employed. The aupair will have her own bedroom with TV and share the bathroom with the children. Every weekend and bank holiday will be off. Mother is on Maternity leave until 17 November so the children will be almost 1, 3 yrs and 5 by the time you will be full time on your own with them.

We live in the suburb of Dublin city it is about 3 km from the city center and has a regular bus service. Dublin city has all the amenities you would expect from an exciting city and there are a number of language classes available in the city. We have three children, Connell is 5 yrs old, Mark is 2 yrs and 10 months and Sophie is 8 month now August. Connell starts school in September from 8:50 – 1:30 Monday to Friday, Mark starts Montessori classes in September from 9:00 – 12:00 Monday to Friday. Sophie is 7 months and can’t wait to get moving soon. They are lively children who like to play a lot. They play very well together and keep each other entertained. We live in a 4 bedroom semi detached house with a small back garden. You will have your own room and access to the main bathroom/shower this will be shared with the boys only. You will have a TV in your own room and access to a PC with no restriction to the Internet. You will be responsible for the care of the children from 7:00 – 2:00 Monday to Friday. You will get them washed, dressed and fed breakfast each morning. You will have to take the boys to and from school and Montessori each day, both schools are less than 5 minutes walk from our house. When the boys are in school you will only have Sophie to care for. When you have collected the boys you will need to prepare lunch for them. Also we would like you to do some light house duties. We would like you to empty the dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer in the mornings, we will have put these on the previous night or that morning and generally tidy up after breakfast/lunch for the boys. Once a week I would like you to do some hoovering, dusting and wash the wooden floors. We would like you to keep the bathroom generally clean also. On occasion we may need some help with the ironing but not on a regular basis. We have a domestic cleaner that comes in once a week for 3 hours to do the heavy cleaning in the house. Sometimes we would like you to babysit and would pay you extra for this. I am currently on maternity leave until the 17 November 2008 so I will be here with you until then showing you what the routine is and how everything is carried out in the house. This will give you a chance to get to know the children while I’m here and make is easier on everyone when I go back to work. Your pocket money would be 120euros per week.
