What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Expectations are to look after two boys, aged 2 and 4, out of school and nursery hours. Eldest boy goes to school 5 days a week and youngest, once he is 3, will go to nursery 09:00 to 15:00 for 3 days a week. This will involve getting them ready for school including packed lunches for the youngest, preparing and serving meals, bathtime and putting to bed on the rare evenings when both parents are home late from work. In addition, the au pair will be expected to keep the children's room and the house tidy after the children. No cleaning or ironing will be required, we get someone in to do this twice a week. Any hours worked over and above 40 hours a week, excluding one night of free baby-sitting per week, will be paid for at £5 per hour. No weekend working will be expected, unless agreed to well ahead of time and paid for as overtime. Offer also includes 18 days of paid holiday to be taken at the same time as the family and a weekly travel allowance of up to £25.
