What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Mostly to help with 10 year old son while I look after my daughter who is spending a lot of time in hospital. Housework, dog walking must be animal lover, ironing, simple cooking, help with homework English speaker essential preferably native English, fun and sporty person required with good sense of humour and communication skills to interact well with ten year old boy. Experience of this age group, ability to get on with boys essential!

Family Description:

We live in a lovely house in south London - the au pair will have her own room and bathroom overlooking the garden with tv and dvd player. Hours are approx 5-6 a day with baby sitting as required maximum twice a week. We have a 6 year old daughter Rose who was diagnosed with cancer in her leg earlier this year. She is undergoing treatment in and out of hospital and has had a major operation on her leg so is using a wheelchair at the moment. Her cancer treatment will finish in the new year. Our son is 10 and is at school at the end of our road - he is very sporty and would love someone fun to hang out with after school, help with homework etc. We also have a dog!

Au Pair Letter:

Dear Au Pair We are looking for someone fun, lively and perhaps sporty with a good sense of humour and experience with children, also a dog lover! We are having a difficult year with our daughter being very ill and need some support at home to help keep things going and to help look after our son when we are at the hospital. There are also times in the month when Rose will be at home and I may need some help with caring for her too so flexibility is essential. You will have your own room/bathroom etc and we are close to lots of public transport and live in a pretty part of south London. You must be currently available in this country for interview, have experience of caring for children and have good, checkable references.
