What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

The au pair would become a member of our family and be expected to integrate with us. Her responsibilities would be to get the children dressed and give them breakfast on a morning and take them to nursery and school. Collect the boys at the end of the day and give them a small cold plate and then play with them til I get home at 5pm. In between, the au pair is expected to do some light cleaning. I have stipulated 1 hour cleaning per day or 5 hours per week, but this could be done throughout the week or on days when you are not at school.

Family Description:

We are a loving family. When Allan and I are not at work, we are usually entertaining the children. Maxwell and Stirling are really energetic little boys and love nothing more than to be playing in the garden on the trampoline or the climbing frame. They adore going to the park or on days out. Maxwell and Stirling are our absolute priority and we hope that our chosen au kpair will be like the big sister they have never had.

Hi, We are a loving family looking for a nice au pair to take care of our 2 young sons and become a member of our family for 9 - 12 months. My name is Rae, I am 36 and I am married to Allan, 42. We are both in the Royal Air Force RAF and live at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire, England. Our home is a RAF house on the base of RAF Benson. RAF Benson, like all RAF Stations are very friendly with a lovely community. There are other au pairs on base, so it should be quite easy to make friends. RAF Benson is in between Oxford and Reading, Oxford being 14 miles away in one direction and Reading 14 miles in the other. Benson is quite rural, but there are buses and trains to everywhere. London is only 40 minutes away on the train or there is a fast train from Reading 20 mins and I often go for the day. Our house is quite large with 3 bedrooms. The au pair would have her own room, which overlooks the back garden. It has a nice single bed with a wardrobe and draws, a table and chair for comfortable reading and writing and a television, DVD player and stereo to enjoy relaxing time. There would be unlimited access to the internet, making it easier to contact family and friends and do research for classes. Family and friends are always welcome to phone. We have 2 cars Allan uses his car to get to work. The au pair would need to use my car to take the boys to nursery/school and collect them. My car would be available for the au pair to use for pottering around the local area. We would like an au pair to take care of the children for approx 20 hours per week and do 5 hours light cleaning per week. In return, we will provide the au pair with pocket money of £70 per week. She will get 2 days off per week and usually this will be Saturday and Sunday, but may on a very rare occasion change. After the boys have been dropped off at nursery/school, the rest of the day is free until 3pm when they need to be collected. During this time, the daily tasks would need to be completed however, when the au pair chooses to do them would largely be her choice to fit around her schedule and classes. There are English classes in Reading the classes are £10 per session and each session is 3 hours. We would like our au pair to arrive as soon as possible as Maxwell starts school on 3 Sep 08 and we would like her to stay with us for a year if not longer.
