We have two beautiful boys Adam and Joseph. 6 yrs and 5months. They are good natured boys who need love nurture and stimulation. We are a fun loving liberal and open minded family. We are also a multicultural family with deep respect for all culture and religions

Au Pair Letter:

Dear Au Pair We are a young 30-37 multicultural family with roots in the UK and Algeria. As such we are extremely sensitive to both religious and cultural needs and would seek to accommodate to the best of our ability. We have two beautiful boys currently 5 almost 6 and 5 months. My husband and I are very busy working parents but love to interact with people from all over the world and with different cultures. We are also very liberal and open minded and are keen to give our children the same insight and to welcome someone who would like to share in our family life and responsibilities and who is keen to further their own understanding of other cultures and languages. We are devoted to our children and spend most of our free time ensuring that they are happy and stimulated and love to plan trips at the weekends and to enjoy the outdoor life. Of course living in the rainy UK, this does require a good set of waterproof clothes and a willingness to wrap up warm to keep out the cold! We would hope that anyone who wanted to come and stay as part of our family would not only love children but would also have the patience, nurture, creativity and responsibility to provide care for our children when we are at work. Our two boys are good natured but require stimulation that reaches far beyond TV and computer games! With a five year gap their needs also differ with everything from nappy changes to in depth questioning about all sorts of topics the norm for most days! We hope that you could drive but that is not essential as long as you are willing to use the good network of buses to transport the children in our local area. We would hope that you have a good basic understanding of English but don't expect you to be perfect! We would be looking for approximately 25 hours of childcare to be arranged Monday - Friday 8-6pm and three evenings a week. This would require School drop off and pickups and attendance at baby groups with our youngest child. Preparation of healthy snacks and meals for the children is essential and as part of the family we would expect some cleaning after the children during childcare hours and a normal level of inclusion into family cleaning chores. There would be no heavy cleaning duties expected. Most weekend days would be free for you to enjoy however you would always be welcome to accompany our family to trips to the Lake District , beach or even just shopping. In return for you commitment of no less than 9 months continuity is extremely important for young children We would offer you room and board in our modest 3 bedroom house. An allowance of between £60-£70 per week would be negotiable depending on experience, interview and duration of stay. There is an excellent language college nearby and with only part-time childcare required we would support you to arrange a course of study you would have to pay for this if you wish to further your language studies. We live in the North West of England that offers both exciting town and city day and night life to the tranquil and truly breathtaking countryside of the Lake District. The historic cities of Manchester and Lancaster are both within 1 hour from our town. However we live right on the coast and so if we are lucky enough to get some sunshine a trip to our sandy beaches is also a real treat and only a 5 minute drive. There are many local attractions and things to do with some great shopping and good transport links to both the North and South of the British Isles. We have both travelled extensively and so understand the importance of making the most of your trip to the UK and so we would support you to travel and see some lovely places in the British Isles.
