What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

The main task of the au pair is taking care of the kids. On the side the au-pair will have to do some light cleaning tasks, ironing, and some cooking being of general help.Also sometimes the au-pair needs to buy some groceries at the corner store. The main groceries we will do ourselves. Monday-Friday:taking kids to school in the morning. Then doing some laundry making beds in kidsroom and cleaning up toys. In afternoon, picking kids up from school,play with them, take them to friends or sportsclubs, picking them up again and cook sometimes or do some cooking preparations and then we will cook together when I come home.Sometimes the au-pair will have to bathe the kids or do some babysitting at night but this doesn't occur very often. Also we will give advance notice if it comes to babysitting at night.We do have a cleaning lady once every week. It would be of help if the au-pair could ride a bike or has a driving license so she can take the kids to sport clubs etc.

Family Description:

We are a family of 5 people. We have three little boys of 9,7,and 5 yrs old. We need somebody to take care of them since I Suzanne am in mid-wifery school and Paul has a full time job. We live in a nice city called Haarlem which is close to the beach and also close to Amsterdam 20 mins. by train. Our kids are bilingual since I am Dutch and Paul is American. Our oldest son is very much into sports soccer especially and our second son loves art and drawing. Our third son is a little actor. We are looking for a friendly responsible young woman who loves kids and likes to take care of them. She also needs to be a decisive and take charge type of person in a loving way. Our au-pair needs to be able to do basic cooking. We are a flexible pretty easy going family so I think we would be a nice family to be an au pair for. I was an au pair myself when I was younger and really enjoyed it. So I know what it's like to be an au pair. We have a nice two floor au-pair studio in our yard.It give both the au-pair and us a lot of privacy. Our current au- pair loves it!
