We do have a cleaning lady come in once a month who does the detailed cleaning. A basic background check would also be required of any applicants.

We are a growing family of three will be 4 soon living in the vibrant and exciting city of Heidelberg, Germany in the Rhine Neckar valley. We are a bi-lingual, German-American family living in an American community 10 minutes from Heidelberg’s famed city center. We look forward to welcoming someone who wishes to experience the dynamic blending of these two cultures. The father Gene is a military officer who will be absent for most of the next year and the mother Andrea, who is a librarian, is raising our 3 year old son Christian, with our next arrival scheduled for late March.

The Au-Pair would have her own furnished room, a radio and CD Player and she will also have access to the internet available in the apartment. A language school is within walking distance of our apartment. We would request approximately 5 hours of work per day, with one evening of babysitting. The weekends would generally be free.
