What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We expect the Au Pair to care for a 3 month child, with regards to day and night care. She is expected to live if it was part of the family, complying with the usual house rules.

Family Description:

We are a young couple, together for the past 12 years and we both come from Portuguese origins. I am a lawyer working in a well know and awarded law firm in Mozambique MGA and my husband is the head of the Financial Department at Vodacom, a worldwide well known mobile operator. Our daughter is a calm and joyful baby, but our working schedules requires us to have a trusted almost like family nanny to live with us.

Au Pair Letter:

I trust that all is well. As per my profile, we live in Maputo which is the capital city of Mozambique. We have a 3 month old baby called Bruna. She is the sweetest baby. We are a very clean, neat, structured and organized family and we have some strict house rules and expect you to be as well. We tried several Mozambican nannies, but their are not up to our standards usually cannot sleep over. We have some friends who have hired Au Pairs from the Philipines and are extremely happy. I am a lawyer at well known law firm MGA and my husband is the head of the financial department of Vodacom. We have very busy working schedules We also travel a lot on vacations and expect the nanny to go too. We live in a three bedroom house in a quiet city neighborhood. The job description is as follows: The job is live-in and entails looking after Bruna 6 six days a week with 1 one day 24 hours per week off. You will sleep in the same room with Bruna. She still wakes up once a night, but takes two long naps during the day. You will have to look after, feed, bath, medicate, teach, play, educate, stimulate and be creative – but you will be taught how to do this. We will be able to cook your own food or eat ours. We have a maid and a day care nanny that we will keep for when its necessary. When we travel you will be expected to come with us. Food and health assistance will be provided to you, so this is something you do not have to worry with. We will take care of and pay for your trip to Maputo and back to Philippines, visas, your work contract and residence permit. You will have to ensure that before you leave Philippines your Passport is valid for at least 3 three years to enable us to get the visas, work contract and residence permit. The contract can be renewed after 2 years and be longer if both parties so wish. In case of renewal – after working for two years – you can go to Philippines for one month ticket paid for by us and return. The position is available as from December specific date still to be set.
