What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Your primary and most important responsibility is the safety and well being of the children during the hours that we are away from home. - During the day, we expect that you also will undertake a variety of activities to develop our children including: -Reading to them -Playing and organizing games and activities with them -Doing arts and crafts -Our expectation is that little to no television will be watched during the day -Weather permitting, we also would like to see the children have the opportunity to get out of our home at least once per day unless of course they are sick -Prepare simple nutritious meals and snacks for the children -On occasion, our children's friends/cousins may come over for a playdate, we would expect you to also supervise these additional kids during these times. Time permitting, we also need help with some household duties. These include the following: -Keeps children's rooms and playroom tidy -Keep kitchen tidy during work hours -Dust house once a week -Sweep kitchen floor daily -Mop floors weekly minimum weekly frequency -Fold laundry -Change bedsheets/towels once a week -Clean bathrooms once a week -Initial preparation of family dinners on occasion
