Dear Au-Pair, We are looking for somebody responsible, kind, quiet, dilligent, healthy and with a good sense of humour. We are not looking for somebody who wants to party party party or who is into alcohol and drugs we've had that experience already and do not want to go back! simply because our children are so young that you need to be completely on your toes for them at all times. We feel as a family responsible for your well being and safety. We like our privacy as a family and equally we respect your privacy. We have a large house and a separate private area for you to live in. There are a number of German language schools in the area and we are happy to send you to one of these during your stay. Family Description:

We are an Irish family living in Konstanz Germany in Baden-Württemberg. Konstanz is a town made up of approximately 80,000 inhabitants. We are a happy healthy group of 5 - 3 lovely children, 2 boys - one aged just 4, the other just 2 and a little girl aged 5 months. We are busy people, who work hard, travel and like to get outside in the outdoors. We are fair people to work for. We have a very neat, clean and tidy home. We eat well and we love to cook. We speak Spanish, French, German, Irish - Gaelic and English. The common language is English at home. At the moment we have an excellent Lithuanian au-pair who is leaving us unfortunately in April at the end of her 12month stay. We live beside a beautiful lake - called the Lake of Konstanz Constance or Bodensee - in a beautiful picturesque area on the Swiss, German, Austrian borders - the whole area is fantastic for hikes, biking, trekking, swimming, boating et al. We are also very close to some of Europes best skiing resorts. Bus, train and flight connections to our area are very accessible - Zurich - Switzerland 40mins - Friedrichshafen Germany 30mins - Stuttgard 1.5hours - Munich 3hours and the pretty town of Konstanz has many nice shopping stores

Au Pair Letter:

We are looking for somebody who is very flexible and highly adaptable to our ever changing working schedule. Our expectation would be that the au-pair help out with the children and also with the daily household tasks. We are highly organised and like to live that way - therefore this job might only suit those who like to live in an organised fashion who have a keen sense of responsibility, a great eye for detail and above all somebody who fully and truly understands what it means to look after children of our ages. We may take some trips abroad some of which you will be required to accompany us on so it is important that your passport is clean. We expect you to have a high standard of hygiene. We understand that at times you might be a little homesick so its important to us that you are above all happy living here with us.
