What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

To be part of the family and enjoy spending time with the children. Give them some help getting dressed in the morning, bath time, but in particular 2 nights a week baby sitting from 7pm - 11pm Pick up children from school and kindy. Some light housework - ironing, vacuuming, cooking

Family Description:

We are a relaxed and happy family. The boys are lively and fun. We speak English at home and would help you learn the language. I also speak French and a little Italian. My 7 yr old is learning Japanese at school. I'm originally from the UK. We live 7km outside Adelaide in the hills amonst the gum trees and there are trains and buses into town and the odd koala in the garden. Call Adelaide 8 two 7eight 6two 8five. The 7 yr old is in school and the 4 yr old is in part time kindy. I work as an Engineer in Adelaide. We are vegetarian with no particular religion.

Au Pair Letter:

Hi! I have read your profile and think you may be interested in us! What I'm really looking for is a big sister/ brother for the boys. Somebody they can build a relationship with and are completely comfortable with this person when I need to go out or work. ..and yes, I definitely need some help with the housework! The boys are great and a lot of fun. They love going to the park or the beach or playing with cars & trains. This could suit someone who wanted a demi-pair arrangement (15-20 hours per week) as my two boys already have child care arrangement while I am working so there would be plenty of time for you to do English language lessons, see Adelaide, go to the beach - and maybe even earn some extra money teaching other children your language! A 'full-time' au pair arrangement could be possible but only if you could stay for at least 6 months There could even be some flexibility for you to do side trips to other cities / sights in OZ! You would have your own room, there are two bathrooms but we would all share both! Any pay would be dependent on whether you wanted to do more than 15 hours. Best of luck with your adventures Karen We would be interested in hosting any nationality however visas will be esiest for people aged 18-30 from UK, Canada, Japan, Ireland, Netherlands, Republic of Korea, Malta, Germany etc as they will be able to get a 12 month working holiday visa. I'm not sure of the visa restrictions for other countries.
