What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

Our family has a eight year old son, a two year old daughter and a four month old son. Our main concern is with the care of our two youngest children, so we would require someone be comfortable with a toddler and a newborn (i.e. feeding, changing and putting them to knap). As far as your main duties are concerned they would be from the late morning to the early afternoon. In addition, with children it is very easy for a house to become unkept, so we would also require some light housework duties to keep the house looking OK. We are centrally located in the city, so all relevant stores are not too far and there is easy access to public transit.

Family Description:

Eldean (father) is a licensed financial advisor and he also does some work with the provincial government. Rochelle (mother) is a licensed mediator and works with the federal government of Canada. Our first son, Elijah which is Hebrew for God is God is eight years old and in grade 3. He is very outgoing! Our daughter is two years old and her name is Michaiah which is Hebrew for Who is like Jehovah? Our last child is Ezekiel which is Hebrew for God is strong or the man God strengthens! He is a breast fed baby and we plan to continue giving him breast milk as opposed to formula, until he is ready for solid organic foods. On that note we are a Hebrew family and as a result we do not consume pork, seafood, mushrooms, food additives derived from these items and several other food items. Therefore, we do not allow these foods into our home. I do believe it is safe to say we are a health conscious family. We frequently host or attend functions with family and/or friends and again you are always welcome to come. We do keep the Sabbath and anyone living in our home is welcome to do the same.
