What We Expect From Our Au Pair:

We are in need of care for afterschool care and light housecleaning. On top of being home when the kids arrive home from school at 3pm, I need a some housecleaning and food preparation. Telephone access will be via phone card after 6 pm local time or anytime on weekends for overseas calls and Local calls can be made anytime.

Family Description:

We welcome you as a part of two families a mother and father of boys, aged 7 and 8 and myself and my baby boy. I mind the baby but need you to assist two or three days a week by driving and coming to work with me. You will not need to be in full charge as I breastfeed and you are not expected to care for baby other than holding, singing, playing while I work. You will be exposed to the working environment of a dietitian. We support your immersion into English-Canadian culture and will exchange room and board for you to supervise the two english speaking children afterschool school from 3pm till dinner. We will negotiate your spending money in exchange for light housecleaning and as mother's helper. We speak English in the home. We do not watch TV as a family and thus we have conversations at the dinner table for longer than many families. You will be provided a bedroom. You can have a tv and internet access in your room if you require it. We generally retire to our rooms by 9:30pm. You will have plenty of time to take a morning or an evening language class or attend university part-time which is easily accessable by bus. For evenings, you may have occasional use of our second car. For social purposes, you will generally be free on weekends unless you wish to share in family activities.

Au Pair Letter:

We welcome you to our home. You will be provided a bedroom on the main floor near the washroom. You can have a tv and internet access in your room if you require it. We generally retire to our rooms around 9:30pm. You may have occasional use of our second car. We have two cats. You will have plenty of time to take a morning or an evening language class or attend university part-time. For social purposes, you will generally be free on weekends unless you wish to share in family activities.
